Butterfly bush to trade

Seymour, IN(Zone 5b)

I have a volunteer seeding (about 4-5 inches) of this bush. I am bontanically challenged, so I can't really name it. It is beautiful the blooms sorta fall downward in a fountain type fashion. Any one interested in a trade? Lou

Ok, I keep coming back to this post. I've been wanting a butterfly bush, but I don't know if you can use anything I have for trade since I'm so far south. If you see anything on my list you would like, I would love to trade with you.

Is this fountain butterfly bush? If so, I'd LOVE to trade for it. I think the latin name is b. alternifolia. Do you mind if I first save your pic and post it in the plant ID to make sure what it is?

Capt that would be fine with me. I don't think it is , but it could be Fountain Butterfly bush. I didn't think the blooms looked quite long enough to be it, but it was the closest I could find. I would appreciate and ID for it. I got it at a garage sale and the owner didn't know the name either. Lou

Ok, I got back an id and it's either Nanho Blue or Nanho Purple. Thanks anyways! I hope it finds a home.

Are you still looking for a home for this butterfly bush? LMK

Lou, I have one that looks almost like yours but yours is so much fuller. Do you prune yours? If so, when and how much? It really is beautiful.. Jeanette

I have found a home for this one and will keep a watch out for more. We pruned it down in g spring to about 12 inches high. Thanks, Lou
