Sorry dont have otherwise I will send you. I saw the pictures of this plant, it is very very beautiful. Hope soon you will have in your garden.

Mesilla Park, NM

gummlla, yes, it is beautiful, I have been wanting these for about a year now (voodoo lilies and ees). Thank you for the thought.. I know if you had it you would share. I want to grow one of those giant elephant ears, but do not know which ones get that big. I need a name. The elephant ears I buy at the HDs are very small and don't grow like those huge ones. Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Gourd, I have some EE's if you want them. I have Black Magic, a solid green leafed, violet stemed, and Illustrius. I'm not looking for any plants right now, don't have room for the ones that I need to bring in the house. I also have Am Konjac bulbs if you want any of them. I can send them to you for postage. Let me know know if you want any, I'm mailing plants on Monday and you can send the postage when you get your box. Cathy

Guord, did you get your voodoo lilies? If not, I do have a couple of bulbs. Also, the really big ee's are Xanthosoma sagittifolium . They grow like mad in my yard. Some of them got over 7 feet tall before Ivan shredded the leaves. Anyhow, if you have not found them yet, let me know. Here they are taller than my 6 foot privacy fence.

I never could find any giant elephant's ear locally either. I purchased some seed off ebay to give it a try. They are labeled Alocasia Odora, Giant Elephant's Ear.

I also read that Xanthosoma 'Blue Giant' is pretty neat too!

Hi Antoinette,
Long time no see. I was looking at your post and wanted to know if you have looked on Plants Delight. They have a whole bunch of these guys. Just thought I would let you know. I know you shop there so maybe you have already seen them. And so sorry to see what the rain did you your yard. That must have been terrible for you. Hope to talk to ya soon,

Hey Antoinette, glad to see you posting, has the water gone down where you are? I hope it did not ruin too many of your plants.
Sandra

I am so sorry it took me a long time to get back here.. for some reason I am not getting any postings on my page like before.

I found some malanga roots at one of the food stores here about two months ago, and have not planted them yet.

Sandra, the water finally drained away and we are starting to dry out, lots of cleanup to do yet. In the next few months, we are going to try to landscape that area with mounds and cactus, see what happens. Hopefully the water won't take them out. I am so tired of seeing pots all over the place, maybe we can get at least half into the ground.

Thanks Gumlla and NJBGardener for reminding of this thread.

Elyearcrazy, you sent me several when we traded last year, but I think I put them in too much sun. Maybe I am not meant to have these.. How are yours doing?

rylaff thanks for the offer.

Hi again,
Did you ever find your giant EE's? I have some that I got for my Bday but I don't know the name of them. I can share a good size bulb with you if you want it. It is still small yet but has some pups next to it. These do get very large. I don't know if you have ever seen the one right off of the 60 Fwy and Van Buren, but there is one there. Could cover your whole back yard. Hee Hee Hee. Just kidding. And I probably have some other plants you are interested in.

Niceville, FL(Zone 8b)

My voodoos are already peeking out of the ground

Oh wow, look at you rylaff.. that is great.

I got a couple of bulbets and put them into a pot and now cannot locate the pot. Hopefully they will come up and I'll recognize them.. lol.

The rains here have not let down at all, got flooded again (five times already) and still at it. Gosh, it is depressing here.

Rylaff, did you come up with a want list for some voodoo bulbs?

Norma, don't you tell me about the giant ee's near the 60, you will have to come by and look for the crazy woman looking for them...lol. you nut. See you sometime this week. (if it quits raining)

Deltona, FL(Zone 9a)
