Rothkirch has set several pods by different pollinators. These were early pollinations. It is seen on the size of the pods.
Rothkirch pods
Oh my! That's humongous!!!
WOW Monika, u sure grow them good. need we be surprise from an expert like u :D.
They look like shiny geen gems. I can't remember if I sent you RK pollen. I am dying to know if we have the same RK as you have.
You did send me pollen and I pollinated three flowers with it. The flower stalks stayed almost three weeks on the plant before they fell off. Usually they fall off after a week.
edited for spelling!

Now I remember you telling me that. So we are still undecided. LOL
Wow, that is an awesome looking pod. Looks like it will have some "great" seeds in it.
Great PINK seeds Brugie.
Yes, think PINK lol!
My word!!! Those are huge!!! Just amazing!
Wow, look at those big pods with all those pink Brug seeds in them. LOL
Two words...."OH MY!!!"... :-)
Yes, to make great big pink brug flowers from them! What a delightful thought.
You would think I would be seeded out! I went out to look at my RK pods for comparison and found a pod had rotted off early. So I just peeled them and got them potted up under lights. I had a similar immature pod last week and got several of them to germinate!
Wow those are huge Monika!
Very nice! Sure are "fat" little pods. Hope they have lots of seeds in them.
Wowsers Monika .... looks huge!!
There is nothing I can add that hasn't already been said, except ((((I WANT MY VERY OWN POD)))) I have a bazillion bees and other pollinators and, I had many brugs blooming at the same time, all season, AND, I personally pollinated several and, thus far, I have zero pods. Is there a trick I don't know???
Sherry, I pollinate the evening of the first day open and in some cases, I will pollinate before the bloom is open. If the stigma is already brown, it is too late. Are you using pollen from one completely different brug to put on another one? If that doesn't work, sometimes it is too hot and the pollen doesn't take. Making sure your pollen is nice and fluffy is a good thing too. Once you pollinate, don't mess with the bloom. Let the blooms fall off naturally. It doesn't always look the best, but they will fall in a couple of weeks.
Yes, and thanks Shirley, I 'think' I've done everything correctly and I've watched bees go from one brug blossom to another. And, I have definitely left the spent blooms in place, because i remember you saying that previously, and, I've had some remain on the plant for 5 weeks or more. My neighbor thinks too much rain is the culprit. If that is so, if I get more blooms, I should get pods, because it is bone dry here now...I knew it was a mistake to wish it would stop raining, whew!!
Monika....I think I see my name on one of those!! LOL :-)
I had something like this in mind lol!
Kyle and Kell, you both know you seen my name on those pods before you painted over it. LOL
LOLOL Yall are too funny!
that is some POD, and I could swear it had my name right next to another one there,
Those are huge! Great looking pods, bet those have some great babies in them!
Kyle, Kell LOLOLOL....
Kyle and Kell, I know you turned those pods around because my name was on the other side. LOL! You two are too funny.
Great pods........I am thinking pink for you Monika.
Hey, wait a minuted, when Monika opens the pods, she will find 'Arky or bust' and MY name written on each and every little seed, ha!!!
Those are the biggest seed pods I've ever seen! WOW!! Can you imagine the size of the seeds inside them???!!!
If you need any help growing out your seeds, I'll gladly volunteer!!!
Moi???? I'm totally inocent......LMAO :-)
LOL
Sherry , prove it! LOL
Shoot, Kell, that's easy - here goes: Shortly before the pods are opened, Monica will receive a bottle of fine 61 year old Sherry Like the Wine, and a Vodka cake (from Chuck's Cakes in LA). As she daintily munches the cake and sips the sherry, she will have xray vision wherein, she will see my name, in neon, written on each seed - how simple is that, ya know??!! (LOL)
That's a good one, Sherry. LOL
No fair. You need to post a pic with your name written on each of the 100 seeds in the pod. Get busy. LOL
