Know anything about a 'giant' dill?

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

Someone sent me seeds labeled 'Giant Dill' but when I tried to look it up, I don't find anything specifically named that. Does anyone know anything about a giant variety?

I'm anxious to get some started all through my garden, as well as milkweed and coneflower, etc. for the butterflies next spring (smile).

TIA

C2. . there is a cultivar of dill called 'Long Island Mammoth' which gets very large heads and grows taller than other culivars. . .e.g. 'Bouquet', 'Verling', 'Dukat', or a dwarf cultivar named 'Fernleaf'. Perhaps someone just simplified the name to 'Giant Dill'. . .can get kind of confusing when trying to keep track of what one grows.... and, then again, maybe there really is a 'Giant Dill' that someone will know about. . .might take few days before the right 'herbal expert' comes along. I take it the person who sent them to you does not know??

It's been a year since I got the seeds, and they didn't put their name on the pkg. so I really don't recall who it was. I really try hard to put the Latin name and the common name of the seeds I send out, in addition to whatever info I have. Only if I happen by something with seeds that just look irrisistable (wink) do I grab without knowing or caring what they are (hehe I'm bad!)

Thanks for your input. I'll go with the Long Island Mammoth for growing and spacing purposes. Once they get going next spring, I'll take some pics and put them on the ID forum and/or Herb forum for ID.
