Just beautiful.

Does this iris grow in water or in WET soil?

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

Books claim they need wet soil, but I grow all my Japanese iris under regular garden conditions. They grow side-by-side with Siberian iris. I think if kept reasonably moist, they will do fine.

Todd I noticed you have quite a collection of Japanese Iris...where do you purchase yours from?

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

I got mine from a mail-order nursery in BC called The Plant Farm. They have a web site...just put The Plant Farm, British Columbia in Google and you'll get them. They also have a lot of Siberians. Plants are small but I've only lost 4 over the last three years.
