Mother Nature

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Sometimes she has the best ideas,I see folks asking for only named Brugs.
This is great for the collector or breeder, but sometimes the surprizes may be the ones to watch,
I have tried to cross them,I gave up,my theory is just have good genes in the yard,if I get pods cool,I now have more little pods then when I was trying to cross them.
So I hope someday, when I have seeds of,Whatever X ?,I will get some takers to grow them out.
Took this pic tonight,I should name my little helper.maybe I will call him Paintbrush!

Are those 2 differently-colored blooms on the same plant?

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

What a great pictures. With all the praying mantis I have my moth/butterfly population is way down.

Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

Beautiful pictures
Root,I thought I
had a start of
brugs when Kyle
sent me home with
some plants but
the one I thought
was a brug was a
Japanese hibiscus.

The brugs are a
very Beautiful
flower & I would
like to get some
seeds to try but
I would have to
know how to care
for them.

I am taking seeds
from hardy hibiscus
-roses & holly hock
now. The holly hock
seeds are Cream De
Casis & black
current swirl,both
are kind of close
to the same color
-purple & white.

Anyone need any
seeds, E-mail me
& I will send you
some.

Root: I still think
brugie needs a walk
out basement to
carry in all of
those plants.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Great picture Rooty!! LOVE IT! Sometimes, Mother Nature knows best. Im sure there are a couple killer brugs out there that no one but the birds and/or insects know the crosses of. You bring up a great point.

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Root,
I would love to have some seeds when they are ready!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Great pictures Bob. We had those moths here last summer for the first time. Usually our weather is too cool for them.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Love your pic Root.

I never see anything inside my brug blooms, unless it is earwigs or cucumber beetles, both eating! No bees, no moths, nothing good pollinating, I have to do it all myself!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Great picture Root.
Please remember me if you share the seeds =)

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Brugie, send a couple of those moths my way would you, I have never seen one, yet my daughter in Illinois said they had them last year

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Great picture Root !! I have had to be satisfied with looking at everyone else's pictures this year. All I have had bloom is solid gold, creamsickle, goldenlady and knightii. I have at least a dozen other brugs that haven't started blooming yet. Tiny buds on all of them, but they keep dropping.
