This may seem strange, but I am looking for a source for Acorns from Michigan, particularly from the Muskegon area. My kids and I have been vacationing there for 20 years now (at the Channel campground) in Muskegon State Park. While there around Labor Day, my thoughts went back to 1984 when we spent our first vacation there. Just me and three small kids. I would very much like to plant a few Oaks in our yard to commemorate those very special times. The kids are all grown now and we're starting over with the grandkids tagging along too. But we were too early yet to collect any viable acorns; they all were dried out or had been squirrel food.
I'd appreciate any help.
