I woke up this morning and checked out my brugs...and much to my disappointment, all the buds on my cutting-Cypress Gardens were either dropped off or looked like they were cut at the stem and fell off when I touched them. The only thing I saw around was a Kadydid on a close by brug. Could it have been the kadydid that caused the damage or do you think that it was something else? I did recently move it to get more sun. But it was well watered and fertilized. I saw no damage to stem....only looked like it had been cut!

Bud drop... all buds on new cutting...
My Frosty dropped a bunch of buds a few days ago and I attributed it to the lower night time temps we've been having. I think it could also be the Katydid. They wreak havoc on plants... I'm sorry that happened to you, Margie!
I try not to move mine if they have buds. Or at least not where the conditions are changed. I moved a big tree into more shade and she dropped a bunch, I moved her back and she stopped. I then moved her back a few weeks later into more shade again and she dropped again. I finally learned my lesson!
So what is a kadydid? I thought we didn't have those here. I am getting cucumber beetles again. They love everything.

Oh I have had a couple of them. I guess I should have killed them but they are too big to murder easily.
