You would be wasting your time and efforts.

Thanks, I was just wondering I thought it could be a nice mix

Best Regards, Ingrid

Hi Ingrid,
I made lots of attempts doing that, but I never had any success crossing those with one another.

However, many plants from different genusses of the Nightshade Family can be crossed successfully, so why not Datura x Brugmansia?

Even within the Genus Brugmansia it is not all Brugmansia, that can be crossed to one another, but some can. The same principle might apply to Datura x Brugmansia. It could be the the matter of finding out, which Datura species is pollen compatible to which Brugmansia species. We might find out, that we should be looking for an ecovariety of both Genusses in stead of two compatible speies :)

Best regards

Tonny

I think, that I and KarmaHappyToes are the few left, that still are trying to make those crosses work

Well, Tony- good Luck let me know if you girls make it happen. I think they would be something...
