L'Amour once again..... Ahhhhhhhh

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

I have been so busy for the past few weeks and tonight when I came home I had the most gorgeous blooms and I just had to share. And the backyard smells glorious! This flush seems so much bigger than the others. A few of them are just huge!

Thanks everyone! I just love her and THIS IS SO MUCH FUN! I've worked way too hard the past few weeks and this is such a great reward! (Please.....ignore my whining...LOL)

I do have some questions! Someone explain the reason for such huge blooms? Is it because the plant is older or the weather or what? I was just blown away last night to see all of the blooms.....and so big too! I was also surprised to see the dark color. I really thought that they would be much lighter since our weather has been really cool. Mid 70's during the day and down to low 60's and even some 50's at night.

Butterfly opened last night also and is still very light today. I'm assuming because of our cooler weather. Here is BF last night and still looks the same today.

Brinda, I still can't figure out brug color. It isn't so easy as to say hot, warm, cool, and cold . I am really trying to figure it out.

Wow Brin! L'Amour is really loving you! She is so pretty, and you have had such a great turn-out with her. MY BF has always had great color. I wonder why yours hasnt. Most of the summer we were down in the 50s at night. Maybe she is just taking her time?
Here is my BF, inside due to our 33 degree nights.

Very pretty Shelly. I have that same weather and my BF can be dark or light! Yours opens so nicely!

Shelly, these are the first blooms I've had on BF....I'm guessing that they may darken, if our weather holds up. We will see! Your BF is beautiful!!!

Kell....LOL...please let me know if you get it figured out. I'm just amazed at the size of these blooms. I would have to say....maybe it comes with the age of the plant. ??
