I will be taking cuttings on my Martha Washington geraniums if anyone is interested. These will be unrooted cuttings, they are easy to root, I just cut them back and put some rooting hormone on the bottom and plant in a soiless mix. I have the pink and purple varieties. I would do a trade for these for other martha washington geraniums that I don't have. I will take a picture of them in the morning and post it. I will send you 3 cuttings of each variety for a priority mail stamp. I can do 5 trades or sase's to begin with, if I have any left I will let you know.
Julie, I already have you down for a box if your still interested in them.
Please post here and I will get back to you with my address. Cathy
Martha Washington Pelargonium for trade or SASE
I would love to have cutting for postage. do you have a paypal account. I can send it immediately if you do. LMK. Would the amount of 3.85 be ok or do you need the mailling postage stamp itself? Lou
Dispatcher1 emailing you. Cathy
I have never heard of these geraniums, so I did a Google search on them. They're just beautiful. I read that they will only flower if the nights don't get much above 60 degrees. Do you find that true? If so, they will remain plants I'll see through garden magazines.
Pins, they bloomed all summer for me here in PA. This is the second year that I've grown them and they did great both summers, but it's been cool summers here the past few years. I'll have to watch out for that if we get a hot summer. Thanks for the information, Cathy
Cathy...I don't read many forums regularly ...that's why I'm late answering you. OF COURSE, I want that box! :-D Thanks for thinking of me.
~julie~
P.S. ALL my geraniums are blooming like crazy right now. The night temps are 50's & 60's...I had no idea that the temperature would make *that* much difference. (I also didn't know I was paying attention, either! ;-)
Sue that's beautiful! Maybe next year I'll have something to trade for a cutting of that one.
~julie~
Julie you have mail. :)
Sue...you have may-el! :-)
~julie~
Dispatcher1, I will be mailing your cuttings on Monday.
Sue_WA and Julie88 you have mail. Cathy
Cathy...You have mail, too!
~julie~
Thanks, I will be watching for them. Lou
Cathy, they're Gorgeous! I hope I can get them bloom under lights so I can enjoy them before next summer. :-) (OK...so I'm impatient! (...I'm also toadily exhausted...and loving every minute of it!)

do you have any more to trade? are they rooted? plmk and thxs
moretz
Hey Moretz, have been wondering where you have been. Remember the butterfly bush cuttings you sent way back when? I have two succesfully rooted and each is almost 4 feet with blooms now. I need to post a pic for you to see!
I will check how many cuttings I have left - nothing rooted, and let you know.
Sue...I wanna see the butterfly bushes and I definitely want to know HOW you rooted them! (Puleeze?)
~julie~
I received the cutting today. They arrived in very good condition and are in vermiculite and hopefully going to root. They are beautiful from the above pic. Thanks so very much for doing this. Your generosity will be rewarded ten fold in gardening sucesses. Lou
Cathy...Mine arrived today too. I was so busy canning green beans that I opened the box, stuck everything in water and I'll get 'em into perlite tomorrow.
THANKS a million!
~julie~
Cathy - do you overwinter your Martha Wash.? I have Raspberry Swirl and took a dozen or so cuttings from it this past winter that I shared. I was reminded by some geranium people to not use rooting hormone on the cuttings because they have so much of it naturally! I'd love to swap cuttings in a few weeks - too busy right now. :)

i would love to have some of Vancouver Centennial Pelargonium if any left. what are you looking for? BTW are they easy to root? never tried them just wondering
moretz
Sorry Moretz, I've butchered it as much as possible without killing it! But I'll make ya a deal, if I get the cuttings to root I'll send you one, okay?
Kooger, I'm all out, I gave the last of my plants away. Sorry about that. Cathy
Cathy, I just checked on the cuttings you sent me and they're doing very well! I'm sure you and I will both have extras to share come spring. Thank you again...they are really beautiful!
~julie~
