Orinoco banana

This one has gone crazy. It was about 2 ft tall this past January when I planted it here. You can see that some of the leaves got a bit shredded last week in the wind.

Beautiful....... guess you are growing naners, gingers and ears. Better get your store up and going soon. It's so great seeing your new gardens. I know you have worked so hard getting them going.

This one isn't blooming yet, but it sure is growing!
Peggy, the neighbor came over last weekend and said "this wasn't here before you moved in, how did you get it so full in one summer?" I told him I was used to doing gardens in one summer, lol. In TN we had to plant fast, let it grow all summer, then dig up fast when a frost was coming! Now I can plant year round. I bought a bunch of nanas off eBay this month, they are growing in pots till I have a spot ready for them.
Brugie, come on down! I'll tell the gator to move down river!

If you should get any babies with roots I would love to adopt one or two. LMK and maybe we can work a trade or Postage.
I would make a very good Mommy.

Susie, that is gorgeous! I cannot believe how many pups it has made. I had to pull mine up a month or so ago and it had five, but two didn't have roots and I broke them off. I potted the three that looked good and sent one to CA. LOL I noticed it is starting again. I guess being in a pot, mine will never get that full! Yours is absolutely awesome! I cannot believe what the wind has done to the leaves. I think they look neat that way though. :)

BS, the leaves will be pretty for a while, then we get wind and they shred. Sometimes only the windward side is shredded and the other side not and it looks like two different plants. I am amazed at the size of these in less than a year in the ground!

Seattle Burbs, WA(Zone 8b)

Beautiful! They look great where you planted them!

I'm really getting into tropicals now. I had so much fun growing for the first time this season, - brugs, banana's, castors....... they just respond to care and feeding and grow like crazy.

Nice job Cala, and I'm having zone envy!!
