Thank you raydio. I agree with you it does look like H. puniceum.
I am delighted to have it correctly identified.
I have asked the Dave's Garden administrators to move the image to the entry for H. puniceum

Yes, I found it in the Island of Bali in Indonesia, growing by a roadside. It was presumably an escape from cultivation, because no Hippeastrums grow naturally in Indonesia.
