I got leaf drop!

Memphis, TN(Zone 7b)

I've got 5 starts in pots in the house (not going to put them outside until next year). They've been doing well up till now and all of a sudden seems like one of them will drop a leaf. Is this normal or is there something wrong? Please advise?

I think any time you bring them indoors you will get some leaf drop, possibly even a LOT. Not to worry....

They've been inside only - I never had them out......so is it possibly the change in the seasons? It is getting cooler....

It is the change of the season. The days becoming shorter and the plants have a feeling for it. But you should check them once in a while for spider mites. They also may cause leaf drop.

You beat me to it Monika! I have found that no matter where you have brugs, in the fall the leaves start to drop, even here in zone 10 outside. I have found that several plants shed in the fall, but new leaves grow back fast.

Thanks all - that's what I kind of thought. I have checked them for bugs - none.....so I was hoping it was just the season change!

Thanks all!

mbock - you can't see the spider mites, but you can see their tiny webbing, if you look really close. I find most of the webbing up close where the branches Y out into leaves, etc.......... I had leaf drop as well. Not sure if mine was from climatic change or spider mites, as I had both conditions, lol. So I sprayed mine for the mites, since I saw the webbing, and am looking forward to new leaves growing back.
