hi picturelady where do you get this product? BoB

I have a bloom getting ready to open on mine. The secret seems to be not overfertilizing with nitrogen and not letting it dry out once it sets buds.

I've also heard that threatening to put it in the compost pile helps!

I've heard a few people say that HG doesn't like root disturbance. It's best to plant it in a container and leave it alone.

Bob:

My HG finally bloomed in May after I ignored it and didn't water or fertilize it. I also have to agree with Ronna about the compost pile...LOL

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I have one bud left on mine and it looks like it might actually open for me unless it drops in the next day or two. So far I have three big flushes of buds that have fallen. I don't fertilize often, maybe once or twice a month with water soluable fertilizer. It gets watered like all the rest of the brugs and it still won't do anything for me. This was the last year. Three years is to long to waste my time and energy on something that doesn't give me any satisfaction or pleasure and this brug is a big "nothing" at my house.

I'm still waiting for a bloom on mine............maybe I should threaten it with a heave ho to the compost you go! LOL!!
