Should have come this way earlier but have been sidetracked all year. I have interests in shade gardening, hydrangeas, everlastings, greenhouses, ponds and water gardening, garden crafts, hypertulfa etc., etc. Have been renovating the grounds around a 40 year old prairie house in the middle of a city for the past several years and it's just starting to come together. I love to hear and see what others have done. The only problem with that is I often change my plans after seeing what someone else did.
Another gardener from the mid-west with lots of interests.
Welcome to DG - Warning!!! It is addictive!
Hmmm, shade gardening, ponds & water gardening, and hypetufa! A Prairie House! Gosh, I have some forms for stepping stones that I have been meaning to try using. Someday! Welcome ot you and so glad to see another ponder!
Welcome to Daves from an Iowa member. This is a great place to meet people, share plants/seeds, give advice, and the list goes on. You will love it here, I'm sure.

Welcome, Jessamine!
Every spring, when I go visit my parents in FL, I see the Carolina Jessamine blooming everywhere! Lovely, fragrant, native plant! Not hardy in zone 5, but I'm sure that YOU are, lol! April
Welcome from Tennessee and it is addictive here
Thank you for the greetings. It is a genuine pleasure to communicate with people who share my pleasure in gardening. Wish I could say the same thing about my DH but he isn't ready to give in yet.

Welcome and Hello Jessamine--(was just up in Fort Wayne to tour the Lincoln museum--very interesting.)
Just noticed the water-y gardeners are taking over--with Bogman from Cleveland signing up to DG too--you two can turn us all into water gardeners...
Hope you have fun on the site. t.
Big Wave from Utah. High desert, sand for soil, nothing like yours. But I bet we end up finding similar interests on one forum or another. and as you've been warned - if you have any spaare time you will find yourself here. It is addictive here.
Welcome, ~Blooms
What a lovely name, one you don't hear very often. I had a great-great aunt named Jessamine, and have always thought it so feminine and evocative of gardens.
Welcome from Ohio! My mom and her sister (Lotusblossom and Whiterose, respectively) lived in Ft. Wayne when they were kids. My grandparents taught there, I think - or at least my grandma did. If you don't mind my asking, how old are you? Wouldn't it be funny if you knew my family?
