Something Odd

Last night, late, I was returning home, after a day out of town, and unloading the car, when a dog appeared...he came out of nowhere. He looked like a Dalmation, but he was real calm...he had so many spots he looked black in color except for his tail, it looked like a more traditional Dalmation....He didn't look skinny, he didn't appear to be real hungry..(of course that could have been due to the fact that I fed him cat food, but I have had dogs, that Loved cat food) it is all I had. I put a blanket on the floor, that he immediatly claimed, and he groaned as he lay down, he was there this morning, wagged his tail hello, I fed him some more and he politely waited for me to tell him it was okay to eat...then I went inside to get the camera to take pictures of him and when I came outside, he was gone, Poof! We haven't been able to close the door, as he might come back...we both liked him, Horsie is the only member of the house who didn't...Horsie was more than annoyed that a dog was here, and that I, disloyal creature, was petting the thing! He never barked, he had perfect manners. DH says maybe he was on his way home, and we were a waystation. He did appear to be real tired (maybe that is why he seemed calm, as Dalmations are not calm animals) I kind of miss him...One thing we noticed, when cars would drive by, he would growl at them isn't that odd? Maybe I imagined him? I had named him in my mind..he would have been called 'Major' DH wanted to call him 'Dawg' after the bounty hunter.
