I am ready to scream! LOL. Esp when I have no clue where I am going to put them this winter!
I have tables of seedlings just sitting there!!!!
Kell!
I was going to say I would take a couple to help you out, but they look so big. I don't think they would be too big to mail!
Do the words obsessed and posessed mean anything to you Kell??? My Dad has a two section farm.......... maybe you should send them up here for the summer. ;)
Maybe you will have to quit growing seeds until you can cull some of these out and make room again. My gosh girl.....what are you going to do...............that is a bunch of babies.
LOL Kell, you'd better get busy building hoophouses and quick.
Ada, the hoophouse will go where the seedlings are now. My only "grass" place. All my big alley brugs will go into the hoophouse. They are so tall the tops would get frost damage. The seedlings will either stay outside if I can figure out where with a sheet or the best ones will come into my dining room I guess. My DH will just love that! I just have no room.
Had I known I was going to become a nutty old lady, i would not have planted all my trees years ago but left my yard devoid of plants, just for this point in time!
I should show you my porch too. It is coverd in 1 gallon and 4 inch seedlings. And I mean covered.
The lady is obsessed!! LOL!
LOL Kell, I'll rent a tranfer truck and come and pick up a load and put them in my hoophouse. Looks like you're going to have to rent storage buildings next.
I guess, you have to cull some lol
You could send them to south Texas ! We have very mild winters here maybe 5 to 10 days total and even less days where the weather is 32 or below ! I will give them a good home ! LOL
Oh my Kell ....
Oh my heavens! I love it!!
kell, does your obsseion go with the seeds you send out, hmmmm guess that is how I caught it then, and I am still looking for more so remember me when these babbies have seeds.
LOL Kell, it's time to move into your neighbor's garden.
IMO, you are a shrine worthy goddess of unequaled coolness!!! I look forward to each and every post, to see, what in the world, you are going to think of and do next - thanks for the front row seat....................
I can just imagine the beauties that are looming in there.
So can Kell!! ;)
Exactly the lure! LOL
Hi Kell i thought i was bad hAVE OVER EIGHTY PLANTS IN THE BACK YARD THAT HAVE TO COME IN MY CELLAR I JUST CAN NOT THROW SOME A WAY MY EYES WERE BIGGER THAN MY STOMACH. BOB
Yo Goddess, your barking up the wrong tree!!LOL!
We're all nuts! This plant really brings out the obsession in us!
Wow, Kell...I feel your pain! I spent several hours this afternoon digging up some that I definitely want to keep and cutting out ones I want to be rid of... With my luck the ones I don't want will come back and the special ones I moved to pots won't make it. I hope NOT! Well, good luck figuring out what to do!!! Gretchen
Good luck to you to Gretchen! Make sure you save the incredible yellow one. Send a few pieces to your best brug friends (those know enough not to kill them) just in case the mother dies over the winter. It would be shame if it got lost forever. Also that neat pink and yellow one you had. I loved them both!
careful kell, you will end up with even more
kell...your posts really help me!!! I can see myself becoming just like you...and it makes me think! Thank you for showing me where all of this could lead!!! :-)( Don't know to smile or cry !!!
My very best wishes to you! BTW...I could always come and pick up some seedlings to care for, if it would help!! Not TOO many now...I don't want to be just like you!
Margie
I don't have a BRUG and have never had a BRUG .... but after reading all the Brug forum entries ..... I WANT A BRUG ......... I've caught the fever and can't wait to get my hands on some seed....... Forget "Doctor Doctor give me the news" .... I'm thinking "Doctor Doctor give me the BRUG" ......... I know I know I'll keep my day job but these guys are addictive.......... I think the neighbor lady to my mother-in-law has one of these.... I think I'll go knock on her door and ask if I can have some pods........ How long do you think it will take to fill up 50 acres.... I'll start clearing the timber..... : - ) ........
Hi, Kell what state are you in? I didn't see it by your name. I 'm taking it that it is a northern one! Burrr.. it was chilly here this morning :(
She's a softie.......her home State is California! ;) Frost (Winter) lasts for 1/2 a day where she lives.
vs...brugs do not come true from seed ! You would be much better getting a cutting from a brug and rooting it! Then you will have one just like the brug it was cut off of! You could root it anytime...Good luck, I am new too, so do not have any cuttings yet. I hear that alot of members do in the fall, when they trim back to take the brugs in!
kell, you look like you need some shelves.. my dad built some for me at our last home. it had 3 shelves and was attached to the fence. i used them for my succulents and seedlings.

"Doctor Doctor give me the BRUG" .........
Do you have a truck? If you can come to KC,I will load you up.
Root.
Uhoh vs71099....now you don't have an excuse NOT to become a brugaholic! RootDoctor is gonna fix you right up! And after that first bloom you will be doomed like the rest of us! Good Luck....and ENJOY!
BTW....welcome to the Brug Forum! We love to talk brugs, plants and just have a great time! Hope you join us here.
Thanks Kell -- That's definitely one that's being saved. Unfortunately I can't share cuttings with anyone to trial it 'til next year. I found out today that my sick plant had TSWV, so I'm going to have to keep a close eye on all the others :(
Welcome vs! Man!! To be hooked up by Rooty is a dream!!
When I said Doctor Doctor -- I didn't realize we had a Doctor in the house...... I was thinking about the song. But I am going to take RootDoctor up on his offer.... I can't wait to get a BRUG ...... Look out Kansas City here I come.......
And thanks everyone for making all us 'newbies' feel welcome ........
Kell, you need to move to a warmer climate! How about south TX. Winters are mild and it rarely frosts here in zone 10. You would have lots of land, an ocean breeze, palm trees and a tropical climate.
I only have 5 right now, but have some seeds for white ones (not sure what they are, Kaleem from Pakistan sent them to me) and am hopeful to get more seeds soon, so I've been keeping my eyes out. If anyone else has seeds they'd like to toss my way, I'd gladly oblige!
Kell, Susie forgot to mention alligators. LOL
lol Ada, I was gonna say something about how good the alligator poo is for the brugs.
Dang Kell.....I've been really busy with work, but have been checking in and reading the brug forum and I've decided that I need to just move 3 houses down from you! Yeah, then everything would be solved! LOL
