How big are these 'seed tubers'?

I still have some of these hollyhocks; they reached 4 foot in final height:

Size=1/8 to 1/4 lb some are bigger but it is not size that matters, I mail smaller ones ,as they grow fine.-- also I have grown these in containers and they will still develope a large edible root in a container. I have grown 15lb roots in a 2x2' box by the 2nd year. I suggest that the pot be brought in doors after the vines freeze .- the root can't stand frost, but will start regrowth in the late spring. --so -- northern gardeners will need to fool it into growing sooner than normal-- so put the pot in a warm moist place after frost so it will start growing soon. I have used just compost[leaves and horse manure and bedding] and no dirt and still got huge roots. They do prefer some dirt in their soil mix. I think they make a beautiful vine and a great Potato substitute.

Please put me on your list. I am a weird vine nut person, and just love the way these look. I also have both Wisteria (blue) seeds, and several colors of Hollyhocks and they are yours if you want them.. Antoinette

Part of the problem may have been that the post office has been closed since the storm [Jeane] and just re -opened the day we got your mail-- they had no power- --and we just got ours on this PM--Michael

its been a horrible season so far. i was flooded in this round. had power and everything but lots of river water. my poor post office had to close for flooding too.

Robin, -I had to hurry and put all my seed in water proof plastic box's in my outside filing cabinet, and, of course, they are all disorganized, so if the seed comes back let me know, But I think I got some--some day soon I hope Hurricane season will be over and I will get it all back out and file it in the proper file folder in the fileing cabinet I keep seed in.- Michael
[If anyone else has been forgotten let me know ,and I will try to get all these trades right]
