is organic humus soiless?

is commercial compost manure soiless?

I wouldnt think so, I think soil less is more on the lines of
perlite , growrocks (clay balls) , coco coir (shreaded coconut husks).
Soilless would be just a medium to hold the plant , something for the roots
to grow in but has no nutrients for the plant.
