I have clay soil and I was wondering about adding pine sawdust to it. I know that the sawdust would improve the texture but would the pitch be okay? Would it make it acidic?
I thought I'd ask here since I'm not sure if it would help or hurt my soil.
What about adding it to the compost pile?

Should be okay, but if you have a lot of it, be sure that you also add some nitrogen fertilizer because it will deplete the nitrogen in the soil as it breaks down. It would be great in the compost too.
