OK, I have 2 tupperware containers+++ full now. They are all just crammed in there together. Anyone know of a system you can purchase to keep your seeds sorted in airtight containers? Or if not any suggestions on how I can keep things organized with what I currently have? Organization not my strongpoint!! I am thinking of some sort of card catalog system similar to the library.... Help!!!!

I've been using those nuts, bolts, nails, and screws type odds and ends storage towers with the clear view through front drawers. I believe mine came from Menards and all the little drawers are just the right size for packets of seeds and you can label the front of the drawers. It has helped me a lot. I am pretty sure the ones I bought were only around $10 each. Now if I could just remember to go around and gather all the dry storage seed and put them all in their new homes.

lets see.. i have a plastic office cart 6 drawers.. with wheels.. I think it cost 16 dollars or so.. its made for cds..... so its perfect for baggies....I purchased tons of zip loc sandwich bags.... lables a-z
two drawers for flowers, one for veggies and one for herbs..
the others are for stamps.. stickers, envelopes....etc.....
when I get seeds in the mail and dont have time to alphabatize.. I have a cute hat box sitting on top.

These hurricanes are so frequent I actually have to think for a sec to remember which one is bugging us currently! Trop Storm Jeanne is following up after Ivan - we have tornado watches all over the place!! Fall veggie planting will be really LATE this year! LOL
I am gathering from the responses so far that most people do not keep their seeds in the fridge? I have always kept mine there with no problems but wondering if it's even necessary now... It seems to keep them viable longer from my experience.
Methinks from your post I need to make a trip to Office Depot/Staples/ etc... and see what they have!
By the way, did you like the seed selections I sent you? The Artesmesia (spelling) has been a new fav for me this year!
