I'm in the zone 7 area and I don't seem to be getting mature seeds out of the pods. I have great results from from the perenials ( red dinner plates , red and white Lunas, Pink?, and this star red one that the leaves look just like herb ( if you Know what I mean). The police even wanted a test off this leave. But I would really like to Know about these Tropical fellows.
Red tropical Hibiscus-Miami's
Red leaf hibiscus?
I think it is pretty unusual to get seeds from tropical hibiscus unless you pollinate them and even then it doesn't happen often from what I've read.
Ye, that's what I'm doing. But I can't get them to mature before they fall off the plant. I've come close but still don't think they are going to be mature.
Keep trying. Some day you will be surprised. LOL! I wish you all the luck in the world.
