Great picture Kell.

I have been out back this morning, enjoying all the colors in my yard. Especially the blue sky. It is such a beautiful day here. Perfect in fact. Perfect temperature. I am really appreciating it so much esp since I am thinking of my sister and all the 1 million people who have had to evacuate from their homes. It is so scary what the weather can do.

Lovely image!

Yes, its very scary. And no place is immune to severe weather of some type...

That is one beautiful pic, with blue sky.

I too am thinking of terrible Ivan, errr.........." Ivan the terrible"! Hope they all have homes to come back to.

Gretchen, we're supposed to get heavy rains from Ivan and they say our mountain areas will get it the worse. I pray your parents will be okay as well as all who are in the path of Ivan. We sure don't need any more rain.

Thank you Ada! I pray that you'll be okay too! God bless you and everyone in Ivan's path!

Nice picture.

Thanks, Gretchen. I put some of my Brugs in five gallon pots in garbage bags and before the rains start, I'm going to close them around the pots so they won't get waterlogged again. I hope this will help. This is a picture of two of mine that were doing great before the rains of Frances and when the sun came back out they wilted down to this. Little Moon was blooming beautifully and the seedling looked great but look at them now. There's no blemishes or spots anywhere on them that looks suspicious. I just dug the pot out of it's sunken hole and put them under a shade tree.

Sorry for the highjacking, Kell. I love all of your pictures.

Oh Ada -- I'm so sorry! I lost three seedlings this past Spring to too much rain. They were planted in the ground in an area that must not have great drainage. Funny thing. I cut them off at the base of the stalk and two of the three sent up new shoots...Very strange. I sure hope the garbage bags work for you, and you don't have any more problems with your babies!!!

Thanks Gretchen. I've lost many this year to the rains along with many other plants and my soil is mostly sandy. LOL What hasn't washed down to my neighbors below me. One of my neighbors has pulled my railroad ties that was at the lower side of my veggie garden back about six times this year. I had put them there to try to keep my garden from washing away but it's been like a rushing river many times this year.

What a strange year its been for many of us! Stay safe Ada -- God bless you and your family!!!

Thanks, Gretchen.

Hijack away Ada. You are such a great gardener and mother nature has really been against you all summer. I know I promised you some cuttings. Let me know what you need and I will get it out. I just won't promise when! LOL!

Kell, you're a Sweetie. I can always count on you. I think I'll move next door to you so I can grow some lovelies like you. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

and you would get lots of brugs much faster! LOL

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Sounds good to me. LOL

It certainly is a beautiful sky and I love Rosamond like you do. I cannot wait until we get some of those clear, low humidity, cooler days.
