Look at Adora X Rosamond (A)

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

I can't help it. I know they look better after they color up, but I just got home from work and even in the dark I could see pink! I got my camera and went outside.

Sorry, I didn't shrink the above photo. This is another one of Susie's crosses - there are 6 Adora X Rosamond and this is the first to bloom.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Looks like a big bloom. I like the color of pink.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Very pretty, Eileen and Susie. I see you have a critter inside the second flower pix. I have a lot of those these days that like to eat holes in my blooms.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Very nice!

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Those ruffled edges are nice!

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

She's a beauty! I really like how satiny she looks!!

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I have SIX of this cross and two Eventide cross that I have grown since last fall/winter. It's nice to finally reap the rewards of my TLC. (2 of 8 have bloomed, 6 to go....)

Is this what it's like to be hooked? I can't wait to get home and see what they've been up to while I've been at work!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I love it. You are definitely hooked. LOL!

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

And that's not even counting the Cypress Gardens ones, the Jean PascoX Gypsy Queen ones and the 2 other seedlings from Poppysue ... Oh dear! Good thing I live in a big old house - drafty old Victorian with 11 foot ceilings - they'll have plenty of room inside this winter, and some room to spare to start more seeds of course!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Its a beautiful color! Congratulations! Isnt it fun?!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

It sounds like you are having so much fun growing brugs. Seeds are the most fun because the blooms are always a surprise. I bet your house is lovely.......I like old Victorian.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Eileen, I love this one too!!! Gosh, they are ALL just lovely, every single cross with Adora, I just LoVe!!! Great pictures!

Well, this one never got real colorful. Looks a great deal like Isabella with a bit more curve & tendril. Also, sibling seedling "C" bloomed and they could be twins - both pink, but only at the skirt. Faint fragrance. Pretty, but not breathtaking. I may take them to the basement for overwintering, but only because they are already nice little (6 foot) trees that I could use in my landscaping next summer.

I have been spoiled seeing pictures of Rosamond, Root's new one, and espcially the new Monika!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Eileen, I wish you could take a road trip in a couple of weeks. I've got a bunch of seedlings that are pretty, but I have no room for the mother plants. I'd be happy to help you dig them to take home. LOL! Is it very obvious that I need to get rid of some of these plants? Kyle and Root will be taking some of them, but there are tons of named ones out there too.

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

Maybe I can...

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Brugie why do you live so far away I would be happy to dig up a couple even if I had to put them in my bedroom *LOL*

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

And sibling Adora X Rosamond "C" - much paler pink. No discernible scent. Day 2.

edited to say, can't understand why some of the pictures come out so large...

Maybe you could breed some scent into it by using one that has similar color and good scent. Might be worth a try. Besides, it is fun growing seedlings to see what might happen from the crossings.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I like that color alot on your day 4 pic! Congratulations!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

They are beautiful Eileen.
