Could this be caused by SP2?

I installed Windows SP2. Everything seems fine except...I have an account on Ancestry.com that allows me to download images of censuses. It may be coincidence but since SP2, I can't download images, it says Error Downloading Images. That is on IE which I use for Ancestry.com because of an image viewer they have that won't work on Firefox. I can get the images on Firefox but the viewer I can use on it is slower than the one I can use on IE. BTW I can't download census images on the slow viewer on IE, either. I defragged. Made no difference. Anyone have an idea of what happened?

edited to change Thunderbird to Firefox. Duh!
