I was watering tonight and saw these on a hedychium greenii, its a pup with roots forming. I have never seen a hedychium do this before on a flower bud.

It is really amazing! The keiki gets bigger and bigger and heavier and the stem of the mother plant bends with all the weight and...VOILA...the keiki hits the ground and starts growing!

Yes! the greenii makes pups. Carefully remove them and pot them barely in the soil and keep on the dry side.
