That will work for me. I'll send you an email.

Thanks,

I have Horehound. Canadian Goldenrod is so much in abundance here; that is a defined weed.

Daisy, FYI... a group of us here are talking about meeting up at the Lewisville Plant Swap Oct. 30th. Here's the thread:
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/458324/

I realized you're down by Houston (right?) but maybe you can still swing it. There's also one I mentioned in that thread in the Texas Hill Country (Llano) on Oct. 16th.

LMK if you think you might go to one of those and I can swap with you there!

Cajun2,

Both of those are over 5 hours of driving for me. I don't think I can make it. I have a plant sale I voluntee for on the 10/16 for some ederly folks. 10/31 is Halloween and I participate with my Grand Children on 10/30 getting the party stuff goodies and haunted house ready for the following night. I spend the night at my daughters house on that week end. Its a big to do for them.

Thanks for the invitation.

Flower junkie, I have never met anyone else with Gotu Kola! Has yours bloomed? I am still thinking of trying for seeds, but the runners make it so easy to grow. Carole, want some more?

I would love to find some Goldenrod, as in Solidago odora if anyone has it. So many herbs I left behind at one house, and I would dearly love to replace.

Hot Springs, AR(Zone 7b)

Carole! Gosh! I never emailed you! Soooo sorry. I'll do that now.

Ladyanne,

I have never seen it bloom. Maybe one day. I have tons of this if you want some just let me know. I can trade or do self address.

Daisy, I have several kinds of golden rod - all natural, often yanked out. Were you looking for a specific kind. I would feel like I was stealing, but would love to trade some for a bay laurel. LMK, I'll try to think of something else to sweeten the deal!

(Carole) Cleveland, TX(Zone 9a)

Got your email, Daisy! Please pick something else from me that I can send you. I can always send a surprise, but would rather send you something you WANT ; )

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Daisy,
I have horehound and can send you a start when I am on vacation next week if you like. I also have motherwort that hasn't came back yet from sleep and wormwood. Let me know if you want me to try to root some of these for you. I can also get some rose cuttings for you in a few weeks when they really take off. Just let me know what you want. :)
I put some skullcap & feverfew seeds in with your priority stamp for the mugwort in case you don't have those already.

ooh, and Mexican Mint Marigold. You'll love it & it's a perennial here.

Hot Springs, AR(Zone 7b)

Hi Michelle,

I would love some especially the horehound since I never got the one I traded for last fall.

Let me know what I can send you in trade.

Daisy

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Oopsie, I forgot to "watch thread."

Motherwort looks dead but the others are up. I'll get some cuttings for you with rootone tomorrow. I hear the horehound will root in water anyway since it's a member of the mint family.

Um... chocolate vine? Will that grow in part shade here?

Michelle

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Any vine, anything dark/black, anything that will grow in part shade here in Texas. If you still have the dark/black wisteria vine I would like a cutting of that.

I was looking thru your old posts, are you still looking for bearded iris? I can send you a couple white ones. Maybe some dark ones, too.

My roses...I have some dark/black ones and a striped one (oranges & lemons). I also have a big, super-fragrant pink one.

Michelle

Hot Springs, AR(Zone 7b)

I can send cuttings of choc. vine and evergreen wysteria. They both do well in full sun here.

Let me know,

Daisy

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Sounds great! I am getting your stuff together today, will go out either today or tomorrow.

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Did ya get it? Did ya get it?

Michelle

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Ooh, I just got mine! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Michelle

Hot Springs, AR(Zone 7b)

Hi Michelle,

Yes. I got them and everthing is potted. Started the roses under a dome cover in sand. Will let you know if they root. Which one did you wind up sending?

Hope you got enough vines for you and your friends.

Daisy

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks!

I planted them all! I can be a real black thub when it comes to location, so I planted all over the place.

The roses...the ones with the red in the stalks is a DARK red, maybe chrysler imperial or mr. lincoln.
The other ones are a pink pink, maybe perfule delight, and a vigorous climber.

both are super-fragrant.

Victorville, CA

How do you get the roses to root?
-Juli

Hot Springs, AR(Zone 7b)

I simply put them in wet sand and cover them container with plastic. Or if I do them in the winter I just stick the cutting in the same bed with its parent and forget about them. In mid spring I dig up the rooted cutting.

Victorville, CA

So when you trim your roses you can just put the sticks in the ground and they will root?
-Juli

Taylor, TX(Zone 8b)

If you do it in February, they are almost sure to grow roots.

Victorville, CA

Thanks! I'm ordering some really nice roses and I will probably bug you again about the how to's come next spring. I won't feel as bad for paying so much for them then. Tee Hee!
-Juli(justifying my splurges)
