Isabella outdoing herself!!

Tremont, IL(Zone 5b)

I just counted 9 buds on her. There are a couple that look like they will be opening in a few days & then they are in different degrees of size down to about the size of my little finger. Looks like I'll have blooms for quite some time yet! Woopee!!! I'll post pics after they open.

Great. Glad you are getting so many!

This is the second set of blooms. There were 3 the first time. I have 4 other burgs that made it from the cuttings I've received. 2 of them have formed the Y branches, but they are as big as Isabella, & don't know if they'll have time to set bud/blooms before winter sets in here or not. If they don't get a lot bigger, I may try bringing them in & see what they do.

What color is Isabelle? I am new to brugs. I have one Pink Frosty that has bloomed two flushs. My small yellow has not. How do you overwinter yours?

Isabella is my best producer in my cool, rainy climate. I wish I knew which others would produce well under those conditions. Isabella is white near the calyx and the skirt is pink.
For those that have room in their homes or a greenhouse, they bring them in, but most folks take cuttings which root very easily. Some just keep the cuttings in water all winter (changing the water at least once weekly) others wait until the roots start out and pot them. Whatever you do, expect a lot of leaf drop while they get acclimated.
Always remember, they are related to jimson weed and are toxic so you have to keep them away from small kids and pets.

This is my 2nd year for brugs, but my 1st to have any bloom. I took some more pics but need to upload them which will have to wait awhile.

I always liked Isabella. She is a good bloomer. Can't wait to see your pictures.
