This is another Susie seedling, going to be beautiful. This is day one for this bloom. I love it. You can already see the pink in the bloom. Cathy
New Brug Seedling Blooming for me today L'Amour X Butterfly
Beautiful, congratulations.

I will get more pictures, these were taken today. Yesterday it was closed tight showed no pink, but today there's some pink showing. I like the curly tendrils on this seedling, and there's 6. Cathy
Already a winner! Love it!
Would you look at those long tendrils and if it gets pink yet, wow! Keep us posted.
Can't wait to see this one tomorrow. Sure is a pretty .
Looking really good so far. I love the pin wheel pictures. You can really see how long the tendrils are with them.

Congratulations to you and Susie!!! I love the yellow and pink coloring on her corolla. Nice long wavy tendrils too! I can't wait until she opens!! Don't keep us all in suspense!!
Congratulations! It is very pretty with its long tendrils already now.
I bet it turns dark tomorrow!
How exciting!!
The pink bloom in the first picture is one of my everlasting x rosemond seedlings, it's a frosy look a like, except maybe it has a little more pink in it. Susie, you really are a great hybridizer. If you want cuttings of any of the seedling that I grew that are yours you are welcome to have some. I have really enjoyed growing your seeds, every seedling has color so far that has bloomed. You truely are blessed. Cathy
Congratulations! That is really pretty and unusual. Certainly not another Frosty look-alike!
Cathy, it's a beauty. I've so enjoyed seeing others grow out my crosses and get some really pretty flowers.
You sure have some beautiful looking brugs, Cathy. I have enjoyed looking at all the pictures you've posted this season. Congrats are in order for this latest seedling. I just love the shape. Does it have a strong fragrance? Have the flowers done well for you in the heat or sun?
Cathy.....I hope you won't mind if I added another one of Susie's crosses. Your thread seemed like the logical place to add to.
Susie.....Here is another one of your crosses. I am unsure of the parentage because the label
faded. It looks like Tropical Sunset OR Tropical Sunrise x L'A???
I wish I could say for sure :(
This poor seedling went through just about every nasty thing mother nature could dish out. The plant appears to be a very heavy bloomer that has staying power in the heat and full sun. Very little fading or wilting on the flowers...so far.
Renee
Renee, it looks like it has some Tropical Sunset in it's background judging from the shape of the flowers. I like heat tolerant brugs!
You did 'good' on this cross, Susie. Thanks for the parentage info. This will be one of the seedlings I plan to over-winter to see if the same characteristics present themselves in year #2.
That looks like a big one Renee. Does it open all the way? very nice color.
Renee, that is a beautiful brug, large bloom. Don't you just love growing brugs from seeds. My plant was in the full sun all summer long, does well in the low 80's, not to many bug bites, and the blooms seem to be lasting 5 plus days this time of the year. But we really didn't have a very warm summer so maybe it will be different for these brugs next year. Most of this summer it's been cool and rainy. Here is a picture of this plant this morning, turning a nice shade of pink. I'm going to check again this evening to see if she changes more. Cathy
Wow......very beautiful.
I love the little curlies on the ends of the tendrils. Pretty color.
Beautiful!!
Hi cbrandenburg absolutely beautiful what a joy to see a seedling bloom i hope you have many more.i live in upstate new york and we had a coll and wet summer but my brugs did alright expect i have quite a few with no buds. Bob
Good job Susie and Cathy. That is beautiful, love the shape, color and long tendrils! You've got a "keeper".
Its beautiful!!!
Another beauty.
Cathy,
Awesome! Keep up the good work you are so talented and blessed by God!
Ruth
Forgot to mention, I have a bad cold, so I'm getting a faint smell, when my cold clears up maybe I'll be able to get a better idea if this brug has any scent.
Cathy and Renee...A question...when did you both plant the seeds that are blooming this year? My seeds were planted in April/May of this year and although they are growing well...no buds yet. Since we don't get cold for awhile, I am thinking they still might bloom this year.
If you planted them last year, how did you over-winter them?
I really like the shape of your pink! And the tendrils are so curly Q!
She is pretty, Cathy. I like the way the color extends into the corolla tube. Love that inside shot.
