I have to tell ALL of you that I am in awe of what you are able to grow in, what I consider to be, truely hostile environments! I AM amazed at what comes up here in Hawaii...but you in those foreign places like Iowa, Nebraska, ...for gosh sakes...it is unnatural and totally awesome. My hat is off (shoes too...)...keep those pictures coming! You are an inspiration!
Aloha nui loa....
Kalola (Carol)
Hugely amazed
Auntie kalola,
We can do whatever we dream...if we really want to! ........I wanna try a desert planter downtown next year.Cactus and succulents. Who knows!
Mahalo nui,
da akamai haole :-)
OH, Kyle...you are so right!
I have a desert "corner" full of Euphorbias, Agave etc. and they do SO well.
We walked the new road we built...virgen planting open for everything...6 acres. I told DH - "I wish da akamai haole were here...he has great ideas". So far, we have only planned for the Big Background plants like Bismarkia nobilis, variegated Ficus (2), some Royals, Emeralds etc....then little by little (li'ili'i) we will fill in. Boggles my mind...Two side of 1700' road.
You guys will be hearing more from me as we plant...I can use all the help I can...
