yeah!!!! counted 6 buds on my unknown Peach today

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

I am so excited! I knew there was a nice large bud, but today after looking closely, found there were actually 6 buds - how long do they usually take till they pop open, just for reference, so I can really be watching!!
Thanks ~ Laurrie

Isn't it exciting to see buds! I am new to brugs also and know just how you feel. It seems to me they all take different lengths of time to open...but I would say at least a few days to a week.
Post a photo please, when it does!

Laurrie, because of an unusual summer, I suppose, it has taken my buds an awful looooong time to open, we think, because the nights are cool, but I do not know for sure.
I have been waiting for three full weeks on a big batch that seem like they will bloom together. In fact, sometimes after they break out, it takes them several days, sometimes a week before they are in full bloom. Then another one will bud, bloom, and drop off in a week, some of my unknown ones have done that. Maybe it's me, but it appears that it takes my named ones longer to bloom and they don't fade as quickly as the unnamed ones. I'm a newbie, so I may be totally off base...good luck and happy b-day, in this case that would be happy blooming day...

Laurrie, how about a picture? If the tendrils are out of the calyx, it won't be long...just a matter of days. I generally figure close to a month from the time I see the tiny buds until bloom. We would love to see your brug when it opens too.

It looks so healthy and green....it will be beautiful when it opens! It is beautiful now! It is kind of like waiting for a new baby....it knows when it is ready to bloom and will do so when it is time...the wait is hard, but will be worth it !

There is something seriously wrong with your pictures. I don't see a single worm hole or bug bite!! LOL! They look great. It won't be a lot longer. I know just how excited you are.

LOL Brugie, I have to agree!!! I was looking at the foliage and thought the same thing. I've had such a problem with cats....they are making me crazy! I pick them off, kill them and find many more babies the next day eating away. Geezzzz....how many can populate at one time! LOL

LOL well perhaps I am just the lucky one this year, I have alot of praying mantis and ladybugs in my garden, I think they are my "bug patrol" LOL
Thanks for the wonderful wishes, will definitely post pics when the time finally comes!!!
