Ears and Strobilanthes

Strobilanthes is wonderful in the garden. It seems to go with everything. The ears are Mickey Mouse and Frydek.

I have big Ears. They're like huge umbrellas over everything under them. This was taken from two decks above. This is also Tibouchina urvilleana, it blooms when the days start to shorten in summer. I just got a new variety labelled Tibouchina lateromalla, but I think it's grandiflora. Waiting on the blooms.

Love those ears with the markings..so beautiful!
I just have the great big one plain green..I keep the pot in my little pond.

I'd post mine but it's still a baby......it's one of those giant leafed ones that feel at home in Florida. ;)
