I'm SO very excited. I started this from seed (Aristolochia)almost three years ago and I finally got a bloom ( is that what they are called) Isn't it cool? I'll take a better picture in the a.m. I can't wait for it to open.

Mine bloomed like crazy this year. I sure had no idea what to expect and that bud blew my mind. You are going to love it when it opens. I wish they would last a little longer. Mine bloomed about a dozen blooms. I was happy.

Getting bigger and bigger! The kids are even excited to see it open. It's a hoot. Shirley, do you have your plant in a pot or in the ground? Mine is in that small little planter in the picture.

It's arrived and it's huge. The plate behind it is a regular size dinner plate. What do you think? I'm thinking it's U G L Y! Of course it's a keeper.

Mine is in a clay pot. I thought it was a tad bit ugly, but will keep it because it is so unusual. The thing I really was disappointed in was that the bloom didn't last long at all. I was lucky to have so many buds though, so I saw a lot of bloom. There were a lot of jokes about what the bud looked like, so we had laughs too. I thought it smelled a bit like lemon.

Did you pay good money for it? LOL Jeanette

Nice! Very cool! I've considered getting some aristolachias the last couple of years, just haven't broken down and gotten them. Might have to make it point to for next spring. Thanks for sharing the pics!
