Now this is what I call an "old fashioned rose".

"Eden" climbing rose, formerly Rosa 'Pierre de Ronsard.'
It is beautiful! Does it have the old fashioned scent too?
Moonlighting-
Yes, they have a nice fragrance. I cannot remember if they were spicy, peppery, or sweet.(they aren't blooming at the moment, so cannot tell you what type of scent, but do remember that they smelled good.)

A very nice rose seedpicker. I really like (and usually plant only) the old roses, and/or english roses. I have a few exceptions, mostly sad ones I felt sorry for at home depot lol:-)
This is from last March, an english rose (who's name escapes me at the moment) growing with a passiflora on the front of my house.

Indigoez-
Those are gorgeous. They remind me a great deal of my Souvenir de la Malmaison roses. We counted the petals on just one of the SDLM's once, and it had over 150 petals!
Yours look very close, but more golden than pink...
Hey..you gals............you have to march on over to the Rose Forum and display these photos...they are wonderful..the yellow Austin looks like Jude the Obscure a bit!
Beautiful pictures. I'm going to have an Eden next year if it kills me.
That is LOVELY! And up against the painted iron sets it off. Very, very nice.
Hey Roselaine, thanks for the invite... I'm a guy btw, hope the offer still stands lol:-)
