Kitties & puppies dreaming

Has this topic already come up before? Scruffy was dreaming just now...it's soooo cute! His paws twitch - not just the entire paw but individual paw pads also (!). His whiskers twitch, and his breathing speeds up, then slows down, then speeds up again - I wonder if it's a good dream (like catching a juicy birdie, which he never has the opportunity to do now) or a bad one, like reliving a stressful time from his alley cat days. I never know if I should gently lay my hand on him for some subconscious reassurance, or what!...LOL

I wonder if they have figured out the concept of dreams - it must be quite confusing (but reassuring) to wake up from one and find that you're still nestled on a nice warm pillow on your mom's lap, instead of running through the streets :-)

Wonder if they ever sleepwalk? Any dream stories out there? Boy, too bad we can't post video files...what a hoot that would be! LOL
