Nice blooms & so interesting!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Great pics. Love those tendrils on Whiskers. Let us know what that curled up bud does, looks big.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Looks like some long tendrils on that seedling! It won't be long before it opens. Make sure you update the pics for us :)

Linda - your brugs look wonderful! Love the curled bud, and the long skinny one! It'll be touching the ground by the time it opens... Thanks for sharing the pictures! Gretchen

Great pictures. Whiskers is a beautiful brug.

Barnesville, GA(Zone 8a)

Nice pics and choices Linda!
Don't you love the smell of Ambrosia? She's a pretty lady :)

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Ambrosia a little closer up. How do y'all take night shots? I can't see what I'm aiming at.

The fragrance is wonderful. Kell, I think this is a French hybrid named in 2003.

Well, when I take pics at night I usually set the camera up on the little person with the moon beside him lol...I wish I could educationally tell you how to do this, depends on your camera I guess. But when I aim I press the button lightly just enough to get a red spot to appear then I aim it where I want the picture to take the shot...I'm guided by the light :) lol

I love Whisker's Linda, take a look at those tendrils, wow! Exquisite and beautiful, your Ambrosia is beautiful also.

Oh Linda -- I can make that really easy for you...I use a flashlight to illuminate my subject, then with my camera set on the macro (close up) setting, it has something to focus on, and you can see where to point and shoot. The only tough part is that you have the flashlight in one hand and the camera in the other, unless you have a helper.

lhuges,
your brugs are beautiful, wish I were there to get a sniff of them. Hey I loved your bathing suit form would you want to share what mix you used for it ? I used 1 cement 1 sand 2 peat for the form I covered.

Oriole, I had some work done in a shower. The guys (noticing that I had some strange 'art' in my garden asked if I had any use for the left over cement mix. They were thinking stepping stone or something of the sort. I took their left over mix and added peat and dirt and leaves etc and kept mixing until it looked 'right'. I have intended to make another, but have not yet gotten around to it. (I'm also out of peat).

Linda, I am GREEN with envy!!! Mercy, your brugs are beautiful and so healthy!! My poor Whiskers is puny, probably because it's a bug magnet, just makes me sick!! I love your Ambrosia too, just beautiful blossoms! I guess I missed the bathing suit form, with my eyes, it's no wonder...

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Whiskers did attract every cat in the yard. The lower leaves were totally eaten and I removed them before the photo. Guess I had a good week or two when cats were between cycles. I've seen lots of mothes flying so I guess they're laying eggs and the new batch will be eating soon.

Re-run of bathing suit form under construction.

Linda, that's about the cutest, funniest thing I've ever seen. I love unlikely stuff in the garden - you are one more creative girl!!!

Do you have any idea why Whiskers attracts so many bugs??

I love your creative artwork and your whiskers! Looks like you added some curves to the form?!
I have my first bud of whiskers getting ready to open...and can't wait after seeing your photos!

Something funny...when it was mentioned above that cats were after your whiskers, I pictured real cats, not the insect kind! And yes, I wondered why they went after it too! The insect cats are after my whiskers too, not just the plant but a cutting also. Must be SOMETHING about it that attracts them to it more than to other brugs!

Linda she is gorgeous, so very pretty...I love the way she curls her tendrils, such a dainty one isn't she? I love it
