It still just utterly amazes me how these crawlie super-consuming machines .. miraculously morph into such a wonderful and beautiful graceful flying delights! Also .. I wonder if folks are beginning to realize that the butterflies aren't restricted to laying their eggs only on what the preferred host 'food' plant may be. Each have their given preferences, but just as any other critter .. they often must settle with whatever is close or available.

Aren't they gorgeous? That is why I always have somt butteryfly weed even if it looks scraggly.....I love the caterpillars as much as the butterfluys.

how cool !! I have planted over the years many plants they eat and make the cacoons on,,, they are a delight !!!
