This little darling is the Queen of the patio. She "owns" one of the feeders. She will sit at the feeder 30 min. and more surveying her domain. She then moves to a spider plant 18" away or to this tree. I have never seen a hummer sit like this. She is a hoot. She cranes her neck around to keep me in sight when I am in the family room or on the patio. She doesn't even fly away when I open the doors to go outside. There is one small hummer that she will share her feeder with but anyone else must use another feeder. Now she has to guard her favorite plectranthus as well as the feeder, so she is a busy girl.
The owner of my patio
Thats so cute, wonder if the little one is her baby? I know my mom has feeders all around her place & she says they are real bullies, very territorial.
Good to see you posting. Were your ears ringing a few days ago? I was thinking that I had not seen you on here for a bit & was wondering if all was well. Maybe I have just not been in the same forums as you. LOL The sky looks smokey, is it?

Hey Pudgy! We have been about and gone for most of the summer. I waved as we went by on our way to the gold country. Took a tour of Hwy 49 last month. I LOVE Downieville!! The grey you see in the background is our famous marine layer. It looks like that every morning. I took the pic about 6 am.
She is the little doll of the garden. She sits and talks and carries on for quite a spell. The Anna's are the only ones that sing.
PS The morning glory is blooming up a storm. It turned out to be a bright blue one.
Well that sounds like fun, except for the heat! Did you all go, or just you & the kids? I missed the wave, LOL, but thanks for thinking of me. Glad your back home. Kids start school yet?
The kids and my Dad. I was amazed. Sonora closes up the town at 5 pm. Unless of course, you need a beer. that you can get! Lol. School starts on Tuesday. They have been oriented and I am broke. High school is expensive! Luckily, I do not live in a place where they need an entire new wardrobe. Shorts will do till Christmas.
Its amazing how they can perch on tiniest of branches and not weight them down?
