Banana
Musa x paradisiaca
Yes folks, this is where the familiar fruit comes from that we all slice up into our cornflakes.
Banana (Musa x paradisiaca)
From what I have read about this variety, it does produce edible fruit, but the fruit has many seeds. I believe that other varieties have fruit which is much more tasty.
Oh, well, okay then. This one's for those who like seeds in with their cornflakes and bananas. ;~)

Ok, this photo is not an Ae Ae..it is another musa variety.
........and yes..Ae Ae bananas are edible, raw or cooked.
I have contacted administration and informed them of my mistake. Sorry about the incorrect posting.
TC...
The banana flower is as delicious as the banana. There are many ways to prepare it, but it is especially good as croquettes.
Kinda like the flower of the daylily too eh grangy?

What's your recipe, tcfromky? This is interesting.
Jus plain ol' "TC" will do grangy. ;~)
I use an egg and flour batter, just a little thicker than pancake batter. And of course fried in butter. (Kentuckians fry everything)
