I joined DG about one week ago and in that time, I have become a DG junkie, totally addicted to browsing the forums for hours on end. I taught elementary school for 27 years (recently retired) and enjoy the "quiet" time I can now spend with my plants. For years I was obsessed with cacti and succulents, with the exclusion of most other plants. In the last few years, however, I have become interested in philodendrons, and hoyas. I am looking forward to meeting, sharing information, and trading with many of you.
Hello from south central Kentucky.
Welcome from Iowa. It sounds like you are getting around in here quite well. There is so much to do in the garden and I never can get to the forums I'm watching, let alone all those I don't watch. Hope you continue to have a great time. I'm sure you will meet a number of people to do trades with. Have fun.
Shirley
Brugie,
Thank you for the warm welcome. I am afraid I am neglecting lots of outside work while browsing the forums. I have daylily beds that need cleaning and garden tilling to be done. As I have heard many say, "what you don't get done today will be there tomorrow." And it sure enough is. So far, no little fairies or gnomes have snuck in to do it for me. :) By the way, we share the same first name.
a big hello from new york

Welcome, cicada. Have you found the Roundup in KY in Sept. yet? There are a bunch of threads on our open get-together and plant swap on the Roundup forum. Come join us!
I second Darius' invitation to join us the last week end in Sept at Prizer Poit, KY. We have a great time! Welcome to the best garden site ANYWHERE. Jo
Hey Shirley..............seems like there are a lot of us on Daves. I used to think there were only a couple, but we are growing as a group. LOL!
Welcome to your new home! So good to see someone else from the old home town. You will love it here, everyone is so very nice and always willing to help. I've not been around much this summer, to busy outside, but with cold weather around the corner, I'll be back lurking in the forums. Hope to see you also. Again welcome!
