Are you getting herb seeds or plants?

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

PS I heard its not good to start mint and lavender from seed.
Anybody know about this?

New York & Terrell, TX(Zone 8b)

Some Lavender seeds take up to 146 days to germinate.
It's easier to take a cutting. I have some mints that I bought as cut-up herbs, from the local farmers' market.
I just plunked them into the soil and they took off by themselves.
I love apple mint, to me it tastes more like wintergreen instead of apples.

I'd like to get in on the co op if there is one...

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

naturewalker is right on the lavender and mints, mints have to be propigated by cuttings or dividing the mother plant, which taking cuttings and rooting is easy as well, it's just really easy to root mints,

there is no herb coop, I was just wondering if anybody was thinking of doing one, it doesn't look like that anybody is interested

I'd be interested in one for sure, but probably toward spring '05, as it's near end of season for annual herbs here and the perennial herbs slow way down for winter. . .maybe Jan-Feb. . .but early enough to get stuff for spring planting. . .??? JMHO ;-D Janet

Oh I want in on this one. Jody

An herb coop this spring would be perfecto! I’m working on a rose and herb garden design right now. I have my roses picked out (not ordered yet) and am working on companion herbs for them PLUS culinary herbs for the plot. Count me in if this is a “go”

Cottage Rose - I started lavender (hidcote and munstead), spearmint and peppermint from seed. All did fine.
