Susie:

You said you thought I would like this one. I DO! It is big!

Very pretty. . . it looks so big and fluffy. How is the scent on this one.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It is very pretty. Rosa Überraschung looks much like Adora.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

I had Adora Monika, tossed it, as it opened up like a big floppy hat. This is much darker pink, not quite so "floppy". Has some smell, will sniff it again tonight.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

She has a nice dark color. I'm glad you are getting more blooms this year and posting pictures. Keep it up....you know how we are about pictures. LOL!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Would love to see a photo of it opened up more. Good color.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Wow!! It looks huge!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

She beautiful Gloria but I don't think my Adora gets as fat as the Rosa Ubershang

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

I have Rosa Überraschung from Susie, too. I love it, thanks Susie! It has a slight rose smell to me. I have some Adora pollen that I was thinking of putting on it, what do y'all think?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Thanks everyone. Adora looks like a "Flying saucer". This one is just big, good color, not too bad in the tendril department.

Susie where are you, sure hope that gator has not gotten hold of you?

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

It really looks huge. I still only have ivory colored seedlings blooming. Have about a month to see other blooms before chance of frost. Nice photo Hibiscus. donna

Pssst, Gloria, I copied Monika's post to get the name right. Usually I just write Rosa Uber on my own stuff, and when I talk about it, the name is Rosa Uber-something-german.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Ronna!

How big is big Gloria? I had this but may have tossed it before it bloomed. I like your pic!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

LOL Ronna! I like Adora. Her flowers are quite sturdy. She needs a, from sun protected place otherwise, the flower looks during the day like a wilted rug.
Gloria, I solved this problem by adding lime to the soil. The water, I use, is too soft.

UEBERRASCHUNG means surprise. ROSA means pink

Translated: Pink Surprise

It is beautiful, like a gorgeous skirt of a lovely gown.

Hibiscus, Perhaps you did not read what I had to say about your beautiful flower but if you did, a kind word in return would have been appriciated if not for anything else but the time spent Guess I am used to all the other thoughtfull members at DG who note my postings.

I'm sorry. I did not read your post, thought nobody else looked at it after Monika.
I also was waiting for Susie(Calla) to answer. She has not.

Thank you Maria for your kind words.

Gloria, sorry. I meant to get her yesterday and look. I don't have a lot of time to surf DG like I used to and usually go to tropicals or vines first.
Wait till RU is big and loaded with flowers that are in different stages of opening! It will have white, pale pink and pink all at once.

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

It looks Huge!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

That's what good ole' horse manure does for them. I had 5 large buckets full, DH rototilled it in, then I planted all of them in the ground. They had to grow, to get away from it!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

NOw that made me laugh out loud, that was funny, wonder if it's true, poor beautiful flower did not want to put up with that mess with her lovely gown.
Now I am being silly!
