I am so happy I found this Website and have been a proud member since August 30. Unfortunately, everthing else has been getting neglected as I have spent the past two days (every moment I can) with my nose in these Forums!!! But I have learned a lot already and have shared what I could too. I hope to make lots of good cyber friends here. Nice to meet you all!

Hi gumlla,
Nice to meet you. Where I live in Southern B.C., the summers are hot and dry (35C) and the winters are fairly mild, not usually much below O C. We grow a wide variety of plants, trees and flowers. Rhododendrons, Hydrangeas, Roses, Lillies,, you name it. We grow lots of fruit trees with vast orchards and vineyards covering our mountainsides. I have acquired a pond in a recent move to our present location, and so I am just learning about Hyacinth,Water lilies and other pond plants. How about you, what do you grow in your gardens in Pakistan?
Nice to meet you OFG. Hope you are finding lots to do in Daves Garden.
Thank you Brugie (must be short for Brugmansia, huh?) I don't own one, but it's on my wish list! Oh yes, I'm finding lots to do all right. Too much, in fact, not getting much of anything else accomplished! LOL You could spend all day on in Dave's Garden you wanted. I am enjoying it though.
Great. I spend way to much time here. In the winter it isn't such a big deal to be here a lot, but right now there are things that need to be done outside and I have trouble tearing myself away. Check with Liz, that is her user name, she has a business in Canada and sells some awesome brugs.
hello from your neighbor in upstate new york. this is a great place to meet new friends and (hopefully) exchange a recipe or two.
Hi OldFlowerGirl,
Welcome to DG! I'm a newbie too - since early August. Following the forums can sure be addicting, eh? :-) It'll be great during the winter. Do you get snow in Castlegar??
Be sure to check out the "Canadian Trading" forum if you have a chance; lots of folks would be glad to welcome you there as well.
Cheers,
Shannon
Welcome from Texas, OFG. DG is truely addicting for sure. Which reminds me, I must break away and do some long overdue weed pulling. See ya' around the forums.
Hi imway2dumb (I kinda doubt that!), Shannon, Herbie and Brugie,
Thanks for the warm welcome. Thanks for the Brug tip, Brugie, I'll check with Liz. In answer to Shannon, yes we get snow here, sometimes a good dump of it. But it quickly melts as soon as the sun comes out. Winters here are fairly mild. I have met a few of the "crazy canucks" on the Canadian Trading Forum. See you all on the boards! :)
You just wat and see.
Welcome from another "oldie" in Arizona. Jo
Hey, who you callin' OLD? Did you see my photo. Ohh Ok... guilty I guess (sigh) Happens to the best of us, huh. Nice to meet you Jo. Starting to cool down in Arizona?

We have aproximately same weathers. We also grow fruits like mangoes, apple , kinoos, maltas, bananas and many more. In flowers, we grow every plant of zone 9, which are available in Pakistan. But I have now alot of plants of zone 9 from other members which are not available here. Lilies are also not available here , I love this plant but soon I will have in my garden.
Hi, Kaleem!
Hello and welcome from 'south of the border', OldFlowerGirl! Nice name, too. *giggle*

I am here , tell me where are you, my pc was faulty , but now its okay.
I am here, there, and everywhere these days! Mostly following hurricane Frances on DG and television. I might be better off if something went wrong with my pc. I would get some work done in my garden!
Hi TuttiFruitti,
Nice to meet a close neighbor. We used to live 3/4 of an hour closer to you and the border at Christina Lake. Now we are "a little" farther away. How have you enjoyed the rain we have been having? We needed it, but now I want hot and dry again. don't know whether it'll happen again this year.
You're right, Great Name! (giggle)
Donna
