Sunray

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

This is a cutting that was started in February. She's a double standard tree about 5' tall and is finally blooming with her first five flowers, and more buds on the way... Yeah!

I hope you will post a picture tomorrow when the blooms have colored up more. The bloom on this one is certainly different from most yellows.

You are just such a great mom Gretchen! You should be proud of yourself!

What a beauty! I love her shiny look!! How is her fragrance?

Thanks, you all! She has not colored up at all, and I can't get close enough to smell her... Presently she just looks like every other pale yellow seedling I have blooming :( Maybe she'll improve in her next flush :)

I think with Sunray, it is the star in her flower that stands out most.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

I have a Sunray about 3 ft. tall, but no blooms yet. I'm not sure I'll keep her though. I want a ruffled yellow. I do agree though, that Gretchen is an amazing grower. They grow and bloom for her so quickly. It can't be the weather conditions, because we live in the same area. It must be her magic wand and fairy dust. LOL
