Seeking Herbs

I would like to increase my herb collection and variety. I am looking for any type of mint, salvia sage, scented geranium, catnip or catmint, lemon balm, oregano, rosemary, thyme, or anything easily propogated by cuttings. I would love to trade for unrooted cuttings. Simply snip 6 (or as many as you can) cuttings and seal in a zip lock bag with a moist paper towel around the cut end. I would like 6 cuttings so I can be sure to root one. Mail as soon as you can after taking cuttings. Let me know what you have. I have plenty to trade for, also let me know what you would be interested in. Thanks!

I have tons of scented geranium, I think I have some thyme or rosemary, I could take some pictures of them so you could see what they are if you would like, I'm not really good at IDing and the lady who was here before had forgotten which was which!

I have a little of some and a lot of others. Would you like from 1 to 6 cuttings of each of the following? -
Mints: peppermint and ginger;
Salvia: 'Purple Majesty' (not winter hardy), pineapple (not winter hardy), S. off. purpurea (iffy over the winter outdoors);
5 types of scented geranium (need winter window sill);
Nepeta siberica and N. cataria;
lemon balm (be careful of what you wish for - self-sows into tenacious forests);
oregano;
rosemary (not winter hardy);
thyme - golden variegated lemon (hardy to low winter temperatures, but goes toes up under sustained snow or ice);
rue (beautiful low hedge, edging even facing shade if you cut it back once or twice during growing season);
Lavendula dentata (I think that's right - it's not winter hardy);
winter savory;
French taragon.

The following can travel in same bag, but with roots: chives, lady's mantle (another great edger/carpeter into shade); sweet woodruff.

There may be others out there - it's 4:10 am here and this is just off the top of what passes for my head at this hour.

Do you have any hardy, low creeping thyme? Basil, coriander and dill would be great.

I haven't done this before -- what kind of envelope?

Gee...I wish you'd asked for Sweet Basil. :-)
I found out early this summer just how simple it was to root that plant. I cut five or six pieces and stuck them in a glass of water to be used in the kitchen and within a few days afterward, those "cooking" pieces had gorgeous ROOTS! (Now I have a counter FULL!) LOL

Good luck on finding what you're looking for. If you're interested in a couple of pieces of creeping thyme (unnamed) LMK.

My list is what I have to share if anyone is interested, not what I'm looking for. I haven't heard from Studley yet - early hours?

But creeping thyme of any persuasion is definitely on my pounce list. I'm a newbie at this. Julie, do you email me next?

I am saving seeds in my garden and will post a trade list - mostly flowers - once I figure out a few things. I'll be looking for vegie seeds - can't believe the "price of beans" these days. My family got through the depression on what they could grow and hunt. Nowadays...I won't start. Today's a gift.

bluespiral...I'll be unpotting my creeping thyme from the herb pots in a week or so. When I'm ready I'll email you. In the meantime, email me with a list of the seeds you have for trade.
