Georgie Girl.....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This is Georgenpalais tonight on our front deck. The picture was taken with only the porch light and she is much lighter than this. I will say she is a good bloomer and tolerant of going dry. No bugs yet, but I don't have them on the other brugs either. Maybe they are afraid if they sit there, they will be killed by heavy rains or hail. LOL!

Really nice, love your coleus.I tried posting a picture tonight of my first brug blooms, but my picture was turned the wrong way and I didnt know how to correct it. Tomorrow Ill hit my daughter up for instructions, and forget them.

You sound like me. If I didn't have my girls to tell me how to do something or how to fix it, I'd be in real trouble. I love coleus. Thanks so much.

Oh shoot Brugie, now I am singing Georgie Girl in my head over and over again!

It looks so lush. You have the brug touch. Are you holding this one over?

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

LOL girls. Shirley Goergie is beautiful. Isn't this the one you said you were going to get rid of??

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks. Yes Donna, this one I am pretty sure I won't be keeping. Even tho she is a good bloomer, I just can't keep them all. I've had her for two years and now it is time to bring in a new hybrid or two and enjoy them for a couple of years.

What a big beautiful brug, it's soooooo pretty!!!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Wow, Shirley -- I don't know how you do it. I have plenty of them that I won't miss, but I'd be hard pressed to let something that looks like that go -- she's a beauty!

Thanks Gretchen, but she really does just look like a Frosty with a little more color up the corolla tube.

Very pretty, Shirley. It won't be long before all of us will be having to pick and chose which ones we'll be keeping.

Hi Brugi great looking plant i can understand the weather you have, On monday we had 4 inches of rain. with all this rain this summer i have been battling with thrips aND SPIDER MITES. NOW WE HAVE TO BE CONCERNED ON LABOR DAY WITH THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE FRANCES. BOB

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hang in there Bob. I hope there isn't major damage with this storm but it sounds like a big one at this point. Sorry to hear about the bug problem. I think I'm having some cyclamen mites right now, so I'm into a big spray cycle to try to get rid of them.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Very pretty Shirley, but I agree look-alikes have to go. I like to enjoy new ones like you do and some just have to go. To feed, water and care for.....they are going to have to be special for me.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It's pretty Shirley. Don't ya just hate having to decide which ones to keep and which ones to toss?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

This year it is going to be much easier. The sheer numbers of them have worn me out. I'm going to keep about 20 for pots and grow seedlings. If I can't get enough blooms from 20 in pots and a bunch of seedlings, then I'm in big trouble.
