Hi, I'm Kathy and I'm new. I signed up for DG about a week ago and I'm already addicted. I love looking at peoples pictures of their flowers and gardens. What I find REALLY neat is the plant database. Most times you go to buy a flower/bush/plant and you only see a close up of the 'pretty' part, having no idea what the rest of the plant looks like. I find the distant pictures in there really helpful to give an idea how it will fit in my garden.
Lots and lots of tips in here, I've already found out whats wrong with my hydrangea bush!
I don't have a great yard or garden yet, but I plan on getting better at it. I have some nice hydrangea bushes, peony bushes, ornamental grasses, etc. (stuff you can't KILLreal easy).
Looking at the tropical gardens really have me excited and I may try to start one up next spring. My sister gave me some red cannas last year and I planted them and LOVE THEM! I didn't get much for blooms but I'm in love with the foilage. so green and lushy looking.
So here I am and I'm really enjoying DG so far!

Welcome from the NC mountains, Kathy. I've been here a long time and I agree, it's addictive.
I'm between homes so I have no gardens of my own right now... just a few things in pots that travel with me.
Welcome from Pakistan.
