We checked into the hotel in Sacramento and I set up the laptop to connect to the internet using their wireless connection. To use it I had to disconnect my firewall and then re establish it. I did disconnect it and got on line but failed to put it back and was immediately hacked into. Since I do not keep any personal info or passwords stored on the laptop I figgure I should be safe. Well, they took advantage of this and set themselves as the administrator for my machine. I could not log on or off and had to wait til we got home to use the restore discs to regain access and start with a clean slate.
GRRRRR! I hate it when I get stupid!
