it is all crinkly where the white part is. This is an older leaf, notice the puckered area on the middle left of the ear.

Lisa, the leaves on my Mickey Mouse look just like your leaves. Very strange, but I just thought they were supposed to do that. They appear to get better as the newer leaves get bigger.

the leaves do straighten out after the ear is open all the way and looks fine.

no what is happening I can't rember the process name but it happens the same as what happens to jacqulin. but it does it in a werid funky way, what it is trying to do is to role the top layer of the leaf back so that the underside can bee seen, showing true muntant form. it does that sometimes for the Varegation to come out or it should be somewhere under the rinkles, . It is not going to die I was just joking. It will be fine and if you don't like what is happening you can always cut it off and another leaf will come...
They can handle full sun it just stunts there growth. mine is in full sun "I have not shade" and what shade I do have I have my alocasia in it, =(
